Lunarpages is a well known web host that provides great customer support. They have an award winning customer support team who answers questions and gives advice on a regular 365/24/7 basis. If you’re looking for a host with great customer support, lunarpages is a great host to go with. Their hosting packages start out very cheap, and are available as low as $2.95 a month when you sign up for a long period. They do not, however, have a very good selection to choose from when it comes to how long you want your page hosted. They do not have a free months trial available or an option to choose just one month of hosting. The shortest period that is available is 3 months, and also has a $30 setup fee. Therefore, if you are looking for a host to try out for a month or two before you actually settle on one host, lunarpages may not be the answer for you.

The starter package does not offer unlimited domain hosting, so if you are looking to host more than one website you will need to go to the next highest package. Unlimited domain hosting starts with their second lowest priced package, the basic package. This packages is available for $4.95 when you sign up for 60 months. Seriously.. who wants to sign up for a web host and prepay 60 months in advance? You might but I sure don’t. Especially if I am not sure how their service will be. The Basic package is $10.95 a month plus a $30 setup fee if you sign up for the 3 months billing cycle, and $8.95 per month with free setup if you sign up for the 12 month billing cycle. Because of the lack of billing options they provide, we deducted 2 points from their total possible points.

The overall final score for this host that we give is an 8 out of 10. If lunarpages had a better billing cycle, they would be a much better host. However, unless you are wanting to host your website for a long period of time (5 Years for the best price) we suggest finding a different web host.
